Ashish, is an ultra-cyclist by passion and Information Communication Technology specialist by profession. He is originally from Nagpur, India. Currently based out of Tokyo, Japan with his wife and daughter, Ashish's passion for cycling has taken him on a journey of over 30,000 km by 2023, both nationally and internationally, in just 2.5 years. A trailblazer from Nagpur, he made history by qualifying for RAAM at Deccan Cliffhanger 2023 in a self-supported format. Ashish's cycling prowess extends to completing numerous brevets and achieving the coveted title of Super Randonneur. Notably, he's conquered the challenging ascent of Mount Fuji in Japan during the race. Beyond the wheels, Ashish is a trekker and runner, crossing finish lines in several half and 30km marathons in Japan
For the Indian cycling community in Japan, he is also co-founder of Indian Cyclist of Tokyo (ICT) group which he together started around 2 years back with few friends. Now they have around 100 members/cyclist in this group.
For the Deccan Cliffhanger 2023 he was advised by many to get the CREW support however he found it difficult to organize. He also noticed one of the other rider had to miss out the race last minute as he could not arrange the CREW. Ashish thought this is important problem to solve so he continued his research that includes talking with many.
